By now you will be aware that Russell and I are taking part in the Cannonball Run Europe in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, which involves us driving for three thousand miles accross Europe. This cause is dear to both of us as we have had friends who have suffered with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer and Russell's mother has just finished her treatment and is now in remission after her fourth fight against this disease.

Every hour of every day one person is diagnosed with Lymphoma in the UK alone. Lymphomas are ranked the seventh most common and the third fastest growing form of all cancers. It is estimated that 100,000 people in the UK are affected by Lymphatic Cancer, Hodgkin Lymphomas and Non-Hodgkin Lymphomas. Many people and their families first hear of Lymphoma on diagnois and feel distressed and isolated, not knowing where to turn for help and information. It is due to this fact that Russell and I are doing our bit to raise money to help these unforunate people.

As we feel so strongly, so far our contribution has been £4500 entry plus the fuel and insurance to drive my Ferrari 360 Spider. We have also donated £1500 between us to get the fund started. All sponsorhip or money you donate will go directly to the Royal Marsden Hospital and will be split equally between the Childrens Unit in Sutton Surrey and the Lymphoma Section at Fulham Road. Lymphona often referred to as the unkown cancer affects thousands of people and will unfortunately affect someone we know during our lives.
