As many of you know I am regularly running marathons , sky diving or absailing down from tall buildings, hence how I keep so slim and fit....

In reality I play a bit of Golf, eat lots of bacon cobs and drink too much beer, resulting in a couple of pounds of excess weight and occasional gout.

Therefore, when my friend Dave Clarke suggested taking part in the Macmillan 72 Holes in a Day Golf Challenge, I thought that sounds like fun. It was only after sobering up that I realised perhaps I had been a little hasty.

But too late to back out now, so at 5.30am on Monday 9th July, together with three friends I will be taking to the Golf Course to raise as much money as we can for such a great cause.
