Walk remember · 27 September 2021
Dear all, To celebrate the life of my brother Paul-Henri, my family and I have decided to take part in the "Walk to remember"organised by Sue Ryder this October. Following his battle with cancer, my brother spent the last 3 weeks of his life at Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough. The care they gave him was truly remarkable and we are ever thankful to them for making Paul-Henri as comfortable as was possible during these last few weeks. Paul-Henri really appreciated the beautiful grounds of Thorpe Hall and the calmness of the setting that allowed his children and family to visit him during the most awful time. Everybody at the hospice were so kind and understanding and the services and love that the Sue Ryder nurses provided his wife and children with were outstanding. They also supported us through this very difficult time by letting us stay with Paul-Henri night and day until his passing. And finally the after services and genuine care that was offered really gave Paul-Henri's family somewhere to start their grieving process. To thank Sue Ryder for everything they have done for us and Polo we want to help them by raising a minimum of £145 which could fund a Sue Ryder Nurse for the day. Throughout October each member of my family will walk 10000 steps a day and we will all meet up in Vaux-sur -Aure on Saturday 30th October at 3 pm. Our walk to remember will start from the church of Vaux-sur-Aure to Paul-Henri's garden at my parents'house. Friends and family are welcome to join us to celebrate his memory. Jane and Team Polo xxx
