(Running London Marathon 2023, ignore the last years date!)

I started running in 2012 and I've tried eight (maybe nine?) times to get into the London Marathon on the ballot and never got in. All the time I said if I don't get in by my 40th birthday then I'll run for a charity. (Last years ballot was announced ON MY ACTUAL 40th birthday and it was STILL a no. Didn't even get a happy birthday from them).

So here I am! I wanted to make sure I chose a charity that means something and after scrolling and researching I found out about WellChild. From their site:

"WellChild makes it possible for children and young people with complex health needs to be cared for at home instead of hospital, wherever possible."

My Great-Nephew Arlo has Osteogenesis Imperfecta meaning he has very brittle bones and needs a lot of care. He's a lovely little boy and is such a happy thing so I'm raising money to raise awareness for him and others like him.
