Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After a long spell of Long Covid I am back on the bike after three years, preparing to push myself to ride the 55 miles between London and Brighton. I am doing this to support a charity very close to my heart: MS Society. When I was 8 years old, my mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a diagnosis which not only changed her life but had a huge impact on the whole family ever since.
After this devastating diagnosis and no real outlook on what the future might hold, the early support by MS community groups was a real lifeline for the family. I am keen to support the ongoing research into MS, on how to treat and hopefully one day cure it. But I am also incredibly keen on funding ways to better support children whose parents are - often very unexpectedly - thrown onto a path of a painfully unpredictable journey into an incurable illness, something so difficult to grasp, especially for little people.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Many thanks for supporting this cycle journey - I'll do my best to make it to the finish line, hopefully cheered on in Brighton by my wonderful mum!
