Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Alongside pretty much every other child in the UK, Ruairidh (10) and Magnus (7) are currently spending the lion’s share of their time at their computer screens homeschooling. Where possible, we take time out each day to get outside to stretch our legs, open our lungs and remind ourselves what natural daylight (such as it is in Winter) looks like.
We’ve decided to make use of that time by setting ourselves a challenging target- to each run/walk 150km before the half term holiday (14th February). We’ve chosen to try to raise money for NHS charities which probably needs no further explanation.
Magnus has pointed out that as the smallest member of the family, he faces a greater challenge than the rest of us- Ru isn’t buying that argument. In fact, the only family member confident that he can make it is the dog. That said, we’re up for the challenge and we’re going to give it our best shot.
We would be very grateful for your support- whether it be with words of encouragement, hysterical laughter at our stupidity in taking this on whilst trying to complete 8 hours of learning every day (in Ru’s case at least) or sponsorship of our efforts- or indeed all 3 of the above.
Amongst all of the amazing charitable activities underway at the moment, ours is by no means the most impressive but it’s our attempt to do our ‘bit.’ Thanks for any help you can offer!
