About 6 months ago a very good friend of mine called Ben St Joseph died after falling from Ben Nevis. 

I was lucky enough to live with Ben for 4 years when we were at school. It's impossible on here to do justice to just how great a guy he was and just how important he was to so many of us when we were still growing up but he was one of the friendliest, cleverest and most inspiring people I have ever met. Without doubt.

Seeing as Ben was renowned for taking on and accomplishing challenges that would overwhelm most people, we have set ourselves the challenge of cycling from Ben's university town of Bristol to his family home in Tollesbury, Essex.

It is a little under 200 miles and we have the weekend to do it. There will be Hobnobs, more than a few sense of humour failures but also a huge amount of pride when we finish. It's something Ben would have absolutely nailed with a smile.

Ben's was signed up for the British Army Medical Corps and all donations will be going to Help For Heroes.
