Story
In 2015 I was one of the estimated 7,000 people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) every year.
My diagnosis was following two aggressive episodes within a 12-month period. I am fortunate that following treatment in 2015 and 2016 I have remained relapse free.
Despite this, MS is currently an incurable and unpredictable disease and only through research and trials will MS become a more manageable and hopefully curable disease.
Currently it is estimated that a person with MS can cost anywhere between £11,400 and £36,500 per year depending on on-going needs.
In 2024 I am running the London Marathon in support of the MS Society who fund vital research into causes and treatments for the estimated over 130,000 people living with MS in the UK.
Any support is greatly appreciated to help me reach my funding target.
Thank you for your support.
