Story

Want to join me in supporting a good cause? 💛 I’m diving into the Swim Challenge in August for Brain Tumour Research to help them get closer to finding a cure for brain tumours, the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 💔 At the end of the year, it'll be 10 years since my big Sis, Donna, died of a brain tumour. Brain tumour research was the family's charity of choice and this August, I'm going to challenge myself to swim in excess of 10k over the course of the month. This will be a mixture of pool swimming and lake/sea swimming (when I'm away in Keswick and Aberystwyth). I'm fairly new to front crawl distance swimming especially open water. This challenge will definitely test my levels of resilience and commitment and take me far out of my comfort zone. However, I'm known to be a stubborn bugger, and with Donna willing me on and with the opportunity to raise much needed funds, I am confident that I will succeed. I will be regularly posting updates of my swim sessions and if you would like to join me in helping to support this vital research into such a terrible disease, then your donations will be greatly appreciated. Your contribution will make an impact, every penny makes a real difference - thank you so much for your support 😊 Thank you from me and the family. Marcus.❤
