The arrival of coronavirus is placing continued pressure on our local NHS services in Leeds. Take on our challenge to support our major trauma patients and NHS staff during the challenging times ahead.

Story

I'm running a marathon every week (Help!) for seven weeks to raise money for Day One. I am lucky that I can run and have never been seriously injured. Major injury shatters lives and the recovery can be long with a heavy toll on not just the individual but those around them.

Day One Major Trauma Support is a charity that provides practical and emotional support to patients and family members in the immediate aftermath of a major trauma and throughout the recovery journey.

Day One aims to complements the medical treatment a patient receives. Financial, legal, practical and emotional concerns can all be addressed via the Day One Case Worker.

The road to recovery can be a long one and Day One provides support throughout. If you can give, please do and hopefully you will never need their support.
