4 down into the marathons Berlin kicks off in less than 12 hrs... Please donate if you can
HELLO!!
Over a period of 8 weeks Sharon and her band of merry pals are taking part in a series of athletic pursuits in order to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research. Sharon sadly lost her mum last year after a short battle with cancer and decided to undertake the following as a tribute (and also to prove to everyone just how mental she actually is!)
September and October were looking to be empty, dull months between our wonderful summer and the festivities of Christmas, so rather than waste them relaxing, catching up on X Factor the following plan was hatched-Lets do a Marathon! in fact-why do one when you can do 5-in 5 weeks! And why stop there? Triathalon anyone? Couple of half marathons? Oh, and maybe a nice 111 mile cycle? Roping in as many willing participants as possible? And there it was-a 9 week adventure with one aim-to make as much money as possible for Cancer Research.
The itinerary goes as follows:
2nd September- Great Scottish Run 10k & Half Marathon
9th September - Pedal Scotland 111 mile Cycle
16th September- Great North Run
23rd September- Eyemouth Triathalon
30th September - Berlin Marathon
7th October- Chicago Marathon
14th October - Liverpool Marathon
28th October - Amsterdam Marathon
28th October - Preston Guild Marathon
A total of 290 miles, hopefully no blood, several litres of sweat, and probably a few tears, all for a great cause. all donations will be gratefully received with many thanks-no matter how small-every penny counts!!
