Our band ethos is to encourage and support the musical growth of our members in a safe and sociable environment. It is our passion to keep the interest alive in traditional Scottish music while making this music accessible to all. Kilbarchan Pipe Band welcomes anyone of any background to try their hand at Scotland’s best-known instruments. From 8 years-old to 90 years-young, everyone is welcome.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of the band are taking part in the Kiltwalk this year
to raise funds for the band, 14.3 miles and should take 5 hours to complete.

The Pipe Band hare a second family to so many people as we
are a family band and are generationally inclusive, we have some as young as 6
and our oldest currently is 86 years old. From our amazing success for 2022
season becoming Champion of Champions our family is ever growing.

We held a summer school in July 2022 and from that we have
successfully brought on 20 new you learners who had never picked up a set of
bagpipes or sticks before. As you can image it’s a hefty amount of money for a
small charity to kit these guys out in uniform (£1000 each player approx) and for the
drummers 10 new drums (£650 each approx). We also hope to have these new members
competing at Rothesay in their first contest in August.

Ive attached the Just Giving page below, I know it’s a
difficult time for everyone but if you would be able give anything even a
couple of £’s that would be amazing !
