Story
Ever since I was a child, I've been intimately aware of the challenges and needs faced by those with disabilities. My uncle lives with a disability, and his journey has been both an inspiration and a window into the myriad barriers that individuals with disabilities often encounter. Witnessing his struggles, strengths, and triumphs has instilled in me a deep-seated commitment to make a difference.
Today, as I embark on my PhD journey, I'm delving into the domain of Easy-to-Read language. Through my research, I aim to bridge gaps and create inclusive communication platforms where every individual, irrespective of their abilities, can easily understand and engage with the information presented to them. It's about building a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
By fundraising for Scope, I'm not just running for fitness or personal achievement; I'm running to make a tangible impact. Every stride I take, and every pound raised will go towards championing the cause of disabled individuals, ensuring they get the resources, support, and opportunities they rightly deserve.
I urge you to join me on this journey. Whether it's through a donation, sharing this cause with others, or simply cheering me on, your support is invaluable. Together, we can create a world that celebrates diversity, champions accessibility, and paves the way for a more inclusive future.
