2018 Swansea Half Marathon · 24 June 2018 ·

The UK Centre for Animal Law (A-law) promotes interest in animal law and provides a hub of legal expertise, education and resources to improve the law protecting animal interests. We want to achieve a better legal framework for animals and see existing laws being applied properly. Our vision is a world where animal interests are adequately protected by law.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As part of my career change to law, I have been studying intensely for the past two years; completing the Graduate Diploma in Law, Legal Practice Course and LLM Masters in Advanced Drafting.

As an Ambassador for A-Law, I wanted to finish my studies on a high note by fundraising for this great cause, so I am running the Swansea Half-Marathon two days after my final exam with my superstar classmate and training partner: William Rees.

I am really proud to be an Ambassador for A-Law and to have the opportunity to contribute toward improving and better protecting the lives of the wonderful sentient beings we share our Earth with.

A-law plays a pivotal role in promoting knowledge and understanding of the law - amongst lawyers, animal protection groups and the wider public – about animal protection laws applicable in the UK and elsewhere around the world, through publications (including the Journal of Animal Law and Animal Justice UK), training seminars, conferences and online resources, and by contributing strategic legal assistance in support of animal protection groups’ projects.

Thank you for your much appreciated support and generosity!
