For all that know me will understand what a challenge I have been set in entering the Bupa Great Manchester Run - cause I can't run !!! On a drunken night over Christmas whilst discussing my annual statement of quitting smoking in the new year with my family I was told I needed a goal to help quit - 24 hours later I received an e-mail informing me that I had been entered in to the Manchester 10k run thanks to my brother - haven't had a cig for 4 months so it seems to be working. Why team Christie for my charity? We all have been touched with a relative or someone we know who has had cancer - mine is 'my mum' Mary Carter, after battling with leukemia and receiving her treatment at the Christie Hospital she sadly lost her fight to live. Slightly ashamed that it has took me 22 years to do something in memory of my mum - a 10k run seems nothing in comparison - hey ho could be the london marathon next year - not! Please help and sponsor me every donation counts no matter how small - THANKYOU x
