Story

On Saturday 2nd July 2022, Maria, Amy and Callum will be taking part in a 10 mile walk around London in aid of Peace Hospice Care.

Peace Hospice Care provided support and specialist end of life care for our wonderful Grandma, who sadly passed away at home on Friday 28th January 2022.

The nurses were compassionate and kind, and supported our family through a very difficult few days. We had been surprised to learn that due to a lack in funding,  Peace Hospice Care did not have enough Morphine syringe drivers available when they were needed and we wanted to do our bit to help change that.

If 10 of our friends sponsor us £10 each, this will fund five hours of specialist nursing care and support from a senior staff nurse.

Your donation will make a huge difference and will count towards the £6 million the Hospice needs to raise every year in order to run and develop its services - thank you so much for your support.

Unfortunately, we were unable to join the original planned walk date as family members contracted covid, so we have postponed until now to make sure we can complete the challenge.

We provide support at end of life but the majority of our work focuses on supporting those with life-limiting illnesses who have many more years to live. That support includes symptom control, pain relief, companionship, spiritual support and improving the physical wellbeing of patients.
