Mariah - All my friends and family know I am not a natural runner and running does not come easy to me. I ran the York 10k once and it was a disaster so I must be mad for deciding to do a marathon ha! However I am super passionate about Chocolate & Co and the work we are doing and I want to raise awareness of the charity in York as well as some vital funds! So myself and Lisa are doing the hard bit of running a staggering 26 miles and we are simply asking you to donate, whether that be the cost of a Costa coffee, a Tesco meal deal or even going out for tea, any amount can go along way! So how could you say no!! 😊 x

Lisa - After suffering a traumatic childhood I have struggled with poor mental health and addiction to alcohol throughout my life, life got completely unmanageable during and after lockdown, after completing rehab for my alcohol addiction in January I am still in early recovery but chocolate and co have given me a job and given me a sense of purpose, i love fitness and now I’m not in active addiction I am getting back into my running and I’m going to be doing my first marathon for this wonderful charity that has not just helped me personally but others that struggle.

We're running to raise funds for our small charity, Chocolate & Co. We offer a structured routine, within a nurturing and supportive environment to those most overlooked in our community, due to struggling with an addiction, or having a criminal record.
