Story
After only buying a bike in January, I have decided to sign up to the Women on Wheels challenge from Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds in July.
Not only will doing this increase my fitness and build my confidence with cycling, but it will raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
This is a very worthy cause; most people locally will either have been supported by the hospice, based in Bury, or know someone or has.
I am also hoping my challenge will encourage more women to cycle.
I had a choice of cycling 5, 20 or 50 miles and chose to do 50 so this will be a massive challenge for me.
My column in EA Life (the Saturday edition of the East Anglian Daily Times) will update people with my training progress.
