Sadaqah Jariyah for Mariam: Plant an Olive Tree

Sadaqah Jariyah for Mariam · 13 May 2020
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:
“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.” [Muslim]
Mariam's Past
As you know, Mariam was orphaned at birth. She has no family. No children, no grandchildren. Imagine passing away with no child praying for you or carrying out righteous deeds in your honour; No one to elevate your position in Paradise. The thought is heartbreaking.
BUT Mariam now has YOU, Alhamdulillah.
Mariam's Future
What better time than Ramadan, when rewards are multiplied, to give Sadaqah Jariyah in Mariam's name - an act of charity that will continually benefit her in this life and the Hereafter.
Why Plant an Olive Tree?
Olive trees are an incredible source of food, income and medicine for the Palestinian people.
However, ongoing political turmoil and violence has led to the
destruction and uprooting of the olive trees, plunging the families who harvest them into poverty.
Olives are mentioned seven times in the Quran.
This blessed plant is a great form of Sadaqah Jariyah, or ongoing charity.
£10 will buy an olive tree which may continue to grow for over 1,000 years, benefiting a farming family for generations to come.
And, with each harvest, Mariam’s rewards in Jannah will also grow.
“He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought”. [Quran 16:11]
Allah (SWT)'s Promise to You - Your Wealth Will Be Multiplied
"Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah SWT is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah SWT multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills." [Quran 2:261]
