Dear all,

Sure, our no.3 stunt took a lot of pluck, but we really do need your attention to achieve a very ambitious fundraising target.

Most of you visiting this JustGiving page will know James, or will have heard of him, and of his long road to recovery following a catastrophic cycling accident in 2015.  James' stamina and motivation is second to none.  But without the total commitment of the people who have worked so hard with him, he would not have got this far.  We are indebted to all, but we have chosen Headway Hertfordshire for our  fundraising effort, because this organisation is a charity.  A charity in urgent need of substantial financial support.                                           You can read about their work on www.headway-herts.org.uk.  

For example, James attended their HABIT programme for a year.  As a result he will soon be able to do some voluntary work and he has a social network which he enjoys.  I attended the course for carers, and I had support from a counsellor.  This pulled me through some tough times.  We want other people to benefit as much as we have.  To adapt to a different life, and to be enabled to make it liveable again.

However, at the moment Headway's services are difficult to sustain financially, and some are at risk of being discontinued.  Our fund raising target will make a real difference.  We are sure that with your help we can do it.  And you don't want us to stay bald forever.
