I am raising money for Sands because they saved my life after my first daughter, Olivia, died in June 2016. I felt ashamed, alone and like life had no point. I started going to the Sands support groups very early on and some of those people have now become family and they keep me alive and thriving. I truly have no idea how I would've survived any of the early days if it wasn't for the amazing work that the West London Sands group does, so I want to make sure they have all the funds they need to help parents going through the worst tines.

Why am I raising money running a half marathon when I haven't ran in years!? Last time I ran an organised event was the 2015 New York marathon. Olivia ran it with me as I found out a week after that I was pregnant. This time I am doing it because it will be my last day in my thirties as I turn 40 the day after the race on the 3rd of April. I want to close the first 4 decades of my life in the most epic, limit pushing, money raising and life changing way. My first 40 have been heartbreaking at times but overall pretty epic. I can't wait to see what the next 40 have in store for me and all the things I will do to change the world.
