Choosing to support this charity is a sentimental choice for us because we have an insight into how addiction can negatively impact people’s lives. Not only the lives of those who are struggling with the addiction, but the lives of the family and friends of the person who is facing the battle. 

We know talking about mental health and addiction is very prevalent in today’s society, but sadly for many it just wasn’t spoken about before. We want to support Double Impact in raising its profile and letting people know it’s ok to ask for help. 

If the money we raise can support even just one family in achieving a positive outcome from addiction then we couldn’t ask for anything more.

A Message from Double Impact

Drug and alcohol addiction affects people from all walks of life and the reasons behind it can be complex, but in many cases it is a response to childhood trauma or difficult life events. Our beneficiaries have often lost their home, their health, their job, family, friends, confidence and hope. With the right support at the right time, people can and do recover fully, regaining their dignity & taking up active roles in society. Our support helps by building self-belief, relevant skills & a positive support network in the community.
