Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

This summer I will be attempting to complete a relay swim of the length of Loch Ness with my team mates. The loch is over 22 miles long and super deep at over 230m in places. Plenty of places for a monster to hide. Am actually hoping to spot Nessie, or maybe just McToot and his bagpipes?

Btw - the photo definitely shows a rare sighting of the monster and is definitely not my foot during a practice swim.

I am raising money for Aspire, a charity that offers practical support to the 40,000 people living with a spinal cord injury in the UK so that they can lead fulfilled and independent lives in their homes, with their families, in work places and in leisure time.
