After I went for my Covid booster jab I was told to sit in this room at the GP surgery for 15 minutes. The room was a memorial room to the fallen of the first world war which I had never realised existed (my surgery was built on the grounds of a hospital). It was a wood panelled room inscribed in gold with the names of the local people who had given their lives in battle. Above all of these names it said "They Died That You May Live In Peace And Honour, Steadfast And Undismayed They Gave Their All, Their Name Liveth For Evermore, Faithful Until Death". And it made me think that our Covid soldiers are all the people that work in the NHS and who sacrificed so much, including their lives, for the rest of us during and beyond this pandemic. And that's why I have made 'Cup For The NHS" as a tribute to their bravery and dedication and to raise money to support the NHS as it's worth so very much to all of us.
