10 mile sponsored walk · 18 July 2010

As the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping people affected by Rb, we provide support and information to families and individuals, fund research into the prevention and treatment of retinoblastoma, raise awareness among health professionals and the public and influence policy to improve services.

Story

As many of you know our son Harry was diaganosed with BI-LATERAL RETINOBLASTOMA (cancer in both eyes). Through the worst time of our life C.H.E.C.T have been there from day one to offer their help and support .

We are doing this fundraising event to help raise awareness about RETINOBLASTOMA and also to say a big thank you to C.H.E.C.T.
By doing this fundraising event we want to help this wonderful charity so they can continue in the great work they do in helping and supporting the children and their families that are effect by retinoblastoma.

The walk will take place across Cannock Chase on the 18th july. *beginning at Marquis Drive and following the "Heart Of England" trail to Millford common and back* FANCY DRESS IS OPTIONAL , but we are trying to make this as fun as possible!

If you are intrested please join and spread the word, and bring as many people as you can.
if you have any questions please ask myself, Phill Burden or our fantastic friend Bev Foden who is organising this event.

More info will be posted soon but the route looks good and SHOULD take around 4 hours...

Hope to see you all there

Marie x
