I did not know about Marie Curie until I needed them and I did not know I needed them until they arrived.

We found out Maria was terminally unwell on 19th October 2012 and on 20th October I told our children Eleanor Hannah Olivia and Joseph.

We travelled to the hospital and back for a month but the week that Maria came home, each night a Marie Curie nurse came to the house...they sat with Maria through the night, giving her pain relief when needed. This meant that I could go to bed and have some sleep to be able to keep things together through the day. I could sleep in peace knowing Maria was being looked after.
