I did it!! – along with 26 inspiring fellow trekkers I have climbed thousands of steps and clambered over perilous terrain like a mountain goat for six days in temperatures of 30 degrees. What an amazing experience and personal accomplishment!
I am so grateful to everyone who has very generously given up their time to help me in my training and sponsored me. I couldn’t have done it without your support and encouragement. Thank you……….
I’ve cleaned my walking boots and dusted off my walking poles and I’m ready to trek again!
It’s been two years since my trek to Machu Pichu in Peru, so, before my knees give in altogether I am going to put them to the ultimate test of walking 80 kilometres of the Great Wall of China in September. It will take 6 days to complete the trek - steps, steps and more steps I am reliably informed!
Please sponsor me to raise much needed funds for the Wakefield Hospice, an amazing local charity that is very close to mine and my family's hearts and encourage me as I train to reach the fitness levels required to complete this huge challenge.
My target is to raise £2,500. I will be covering the cost of the trip myself therefore every penny raised will go directly to the Hospice.
