Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

I am running the London Marathon on 22nd April for the first and (I am increasingly convinced) last time.  Slave to my “marathon for beginners” training plan, I am running for Prostate Cancer UK.  I have been a Trustee for Prostate Cancer UK since 2016 and I shall be thinking of those close to me who have suffered from this disease as I run.

Prostate Cancer UK has a unique role in driving the fight against prostate cancer – providing direct support to men and their families living with the disease, having detailed understanding of diagnosis and treatment pathways and a seat at the table with the expert scientists. PCUK’s unique insight across the spectrum informs science priorities, funds essential research and ensures men are getting the best help available.  They join the dots to make sure that we make as much
progress and impact as we can, as fast as we can.

I am incredibly impressed with the work that Prostate Cancer UK do.  They have an enormous impact on research, science and treatment and provide expert, valuable support for men suffering from the disease.
