As a volunteer at Dress for Success Scotland I see first hand what an impact the charity makes on the lives of the women we help. Whilst it has been difficult for everyone post pandemic and during the cost of living crisis women have been proportionately more economically disadvantaged than men. This is primarily because with carer responsibilities they tend to work part time usually in areas where jobs were hit hardest during the pandemic such as the hospitality, retail and care sectors. Added to that more than 60% of those who do work are paid less than the minimum wage. This in turn means there are so many more women out there who need our help than there was three years ago and your donation will let us give them that help.

Dress for Success Scotland supports each woman who comes through its door to be the best version of herself and empowers her to obtain a better future. That starts with the clothes that lead to the job that leads to financial independence which in turn leads to thriving families and communities. I know from experience that women can achieve anything when self-belief and confidence are harnessed the right way. And its amazing to see how something as simple as an outfit can mean you have a fitting room where there are tears, hugs, laughter and gratitude in equal measure.
