Story
First and foremost, thanks for checking out my page! I swear this will be worth your time, promise.
My Story
My name is Regan Bennett, I am seventeen years of age, and I want to do the National Three Peaks Challenge dressed as a well-known video game character for Help for Heroes. And that character is Mario, if you never guessed by the title. Oh boy...
Personally, I have the utmost respect for the British Armed Forces for the lives they leave behind to protect our homeland. They endure casualties, risks, losses of all kinds and go through the worst mental and physical challenges one can't even imagine. They lose family, friends, and sometimes themselves, sacrificed for our country. I want to pay my respects to these brave men and women by partaking in a physically and mentally challenging activity that comes with it's own dangerous life-threatening risks. The National Three Peaks Challenge is notorious for the requirements of extreme physical and mental fitness, and will be no easy task. But for our soldiers, I'll do it.
What is the National Three Peaks Challenge?
The National Three Peaks Challenge involves reaching the summits of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours. This includes travelling between mountains using a vehicle. The current modern record stands at 14 hours and 36 minutes, by Bob Wiseman in 2015. This is no easy task, and requires rigorous athletic training. Good thing I do boxing training, I guess.
Challenge Details
The challenge will begin on 07/06/2017 and end within the day. I will be using waterproof and gripped equipment underneath the Mario costume, and will be carrying a backpack of navigational supplies and a way for emergency contacting. The event will be recorded using a GoPro camera attached, and then uploaded for public viewing.
