Join me in supporting Washington's National Park Fund for #GivingTuesday

Giving Tuesday · 29 November 2022 ·
Once again I’m raising funds this year on #GivingTuesday for Washington's National Park Fund. Since the early 1990, I have been visiting Mount Rainier, Olympic, and North Cascades National Parks. I have learned, been challenged, and felt renewed and nourished by these experiences. And I want to do all I can to ensure that these Parks are protected and accessible to visitors from all backgrounds and of all abilities. These Parks are for everyone.
WNPF is the official philanthropic partner for these three Parks, and your donations fund projects that Park staff have identified as priorities. I’m especially excited about Olympic’s plan to hire three Makah youth interns to monitor and educate visitors about archeological sites on the coast that contain dozens of petroglyphs and the remains of seasonal villages. These sites are extremely important to the cultural heritage of the Makah Tribe, and are accessible from trails within the park, most notably by hiking the popular Ozette Triangle Loop. This project is partially funded — I am hoping you’ll join me in supporting this and the other priority projects. As an extra incentive, I will personally match all donations up to a total of $500, AND everyone who donates via my page at any amount will be entered into a random drawing to win a Rumpl Classic Puffy Blanket, Olympic National Park edition, provided by me!
