Story

Who we are raising funds for

In May this year, I will be doing the Yomp across the south downs which measures 166.4KM or 103 Miles (as pictured in this advert). I am doing this for the Royal Marine Charity based in Portsmouth.
The Royal Marine Charity offer support for wounded and injured service personnel in any way they can. This is through rehabilitation, support and ongoing benefits to serving and served Royals.

As the overarching Royal Marines charity, the Royal Marines Charity has among the widest purposes of any service charity in that it looks after both serving and retired Royal Marines, and their dependents.

The Challenge- YOMP 1664

The climb (and decent) is the equivalent of 40% of Mount Everest but over 100 miles and all in 36 hours. It is approximately 90% of the length of the M25 or London to Birmingham and more than twice the Leeds to Manchester distance. The South Downs Trial starts at Winchester and finishes at Eastbourne.

My target for this is £1400.00 with every penny going towards RM Charity for them to continue their fantastic work.
