We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Hi everyone & thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

On March 15 myself and Christian will be travelling to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp. This will involve 12 days of trekking at altitude covering approximately 115km (71 miles) in total & climbing up to 5,643m which is one of the several peaks of Everest (Kalapattar).

During springtime, the average temperature is 17 degrees C with a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius during sunny days and a minimum of -15 degrees Celsius in the morning and at night for areas above 4000 meters.

This will consist of day’s where you walk up to 9 hours per day, while
on the shortest day (day 1) we only walk 3.5 hours as we need to catch an internal flight to our start point.

What will be even more fun is the lack of washing facilities (We expect people to be giving us a wide berth by the end of the trip) and home comforts (warm bed...in fact a bed in general, toilets - the list goes on).

We will be raising much needed funds for Cancer research, we feel this is a well-deserved cause. Cancer affects 1 in every 2 people, which I am sure you feel is far too high a proportion, we wish to help with the research. At this point we must stress that ALL of the money donated will be going to the charity, none of it is going towards the funding for any flights, accommodation or travel costs.

Thank you for your time and all donations, page shares etc are greatly appreciated.
