Story

When schools closed in March, Boys & Girls Clubs of King County stepped in to fill the gaps in care and educational support for families. Clubs waived program fees for essential workers, so adults could continue serving our community knowing their kids were well-supervised and well-fed. We partnered with local schools and supplied critical technology for students. Clubs were able to meet these pressing needs because of investments from our community. To support Club programs this school year, we've launched our Whatever It Takes Campaign, with a goal to raise $90,000 for Clubs in Kirkland, Redmond, and Sammamish. Now through September 18, gifts of $150 or more will be doubled, thanks to generous matching pool donors. Since spring, Clubs on the Eastside have waived nearly $70,000 in program fees for kids of essential workers. Together, we can make sure all youth have a safe environment and the resources they need to be successful this school year. Thank you for investing in kids!
