Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I suppose I'm one of lucky ones, because as far as I know this awful condition has not as yet affected any of immediate family. Saying this I have people close to me who have been affected by dementia, and have seen first hand what it does, and the effects it has on family life.

In my role at work, I too have witnessed, and been moved by the effects this disease has on individuals and their families, & I thought I could maybe use my passion of cycling to do something to help the situation. Maybe a cure is not possible,( but I'm sure that I'm not the only one who hopes that there is a breakthrough in the non too distant future). Raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society will certainly assist people suffering from this, as well as their families, who also go through great hardship when looking after loved ones who are affected. 

So please, please, help me help others and a huge THANK YOU in advance.
