Portsmouth Football Club CEO Mark Catlin, along with PiTC CEO Clare Martin, will be joining a host of other Portsmouth based CEO’s including Mark Waldron from 'The News' and Council Leader Donna Jones, in raising awareness and funds for the city’s homeless.
The ‘CEO Sleepout’ will take place at Fratton Park on the 16th April. Mark Catlin commented, “I have always said that in my opinion whilst Portsmouth is one of the most passionate cities in the country, it is also the most caring, and as a club anything that we can do to make the lives of people within it better, we will do what we can to help achieve this. With all the wealth that this country possesses this is a specific problem that is solvable, and if we can help to raise awareness and funds to achieve that goal then we will obviously want to be a part of it.”
Clare Martin said, "We run many projects with the homeless and people in really desperate situations and there is always a story behind the person; so often I am left thinking that finding yourself suddenly without a home, and without a bed, it could happen to anyone. One poor decision, a broken relationship, a bereavement and its vital that those of us who are able to help, do just that. This event wont just raise much needed funds but will help raise awareness of the plight of so many local people. Please donate what ever you can to support those in need in our city."
