Along with 12 new friends , many of whom work in the health care sector , we share a common goal of supporting children who are unwell or need urgent treatment to make their lives more bearable and give them hope for the future . On a personal level as a former keen sportsman  I took up social cycling 18 months ago spurred on by the Tour de Yorkshire  event  and have been hooked ever since . So as a personal  challenge I  am looking to complete this once in a lifetime event --whilst raising money for those children who need dedicated care
