The brain is literally your head office and damage can have a huge impact on every aspect of your life. We are passionate about helping those affected by brain injury, offering rehabilitation to individuals & families left to cope with the devastation of brain injury following hospital discharge.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm running for the Brain and Spinal Injury Centre (BASIC) in Salford who are closely affiliated with Salford Royal Hospital's brilliant neurosurgery team.

In 2013 I was diagnosed with a type of brain tumour (a meningioma). I was very lucky. It was operable, benign and I've made a full recovery. When I was under the care of Salford Royal I became aware of the great work BASIC do and the assistance they give to others with more serious conditions.

This year I am running the following for BASIC:
Cheshire 10k on 10th April - completed
Great Manchester Run 10k on 22nd May
Great North Run on 11th September

(others to be added)
