Story
Everyone deserves the best healthcare. Whether facing a medical emergency, cancer, stroke, heart disease or have a sick child or baby, we want to provide the very best for our patients.
Charitable funds enable us to introduce the most up-to-date equipment, and improve the ward environments for patients and their families, far beyond what is possible through the NHS budget alone.
The pandemic has certainly gone to my head!! To help support Valley Hospital Charity and Dartford & Gravesham NHS Trust I have signed up to a triple challenge in 2022!
I will be cycling Ride London-Essex on 29th May, cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats (the furthest possible distance in the British Isles) from September 6th to 18th and to finish it off I will be tackling the Euro Cities Challenge in September!
The revamped Ride London-Essex starts on Victoria Embankment before heading out into the lanes of Essex before looping back into London to finish the 100 mile course on Tower Bridge!
Starting at Land’s End on the south-westerly tip of England, I will pedal through Cornwall, over Dartmoor and north along the Welsh border, skirting the Lake District into Scotland, via lochs and the Highlands to the North Coast and John O’Groats. In all I will cycle 1000 miles and climb circa 56,000 feet!
The Euro Cities Cycle challenge will see me pedal through Essex to catch the overnight ferry to the Hook of Holland before cycling 280 miles through the Netherlands and Belgium to the finish at the Brussels Atomium.
Please help me raise desperately needed funds to help Valley Hospital Charity enhance our Trust's patient care!
