On a sleeper train back from Scotland to London. Exhausted! Massive thank you again for everyones support and donations! Alzheimers Research and I are massively grateful. Well over £2500 would have been raised for this great cause thanks to your generosity, gift aid and PwCs charity support. Almost 1000 miles and close to 70 hours cycling, and we're finally done! I can now stop blitzing everyone's feed! Thank you, and good night.

Thanks everyone for the continued support! Tomorrow is our last day and then we would have completed our journey up the entire length of the country. Still very cold and in a decent amount of pain, but is all worth it, as I have just had my first proper Haggis!

Very much in Scotland! Been rained on a lot, getting hilly and rubbish roads (the latter a lesser known stereotype). As a result, more punctures and a mad dash to a Halfords before bank holiday weekend. Only a few more hundred miles left.

7 days and 512 miles and quite frankly I'm tired! Tomorrow we enter Scotland. Wish me luck. Let's hope the 'Scottish Highlands' is simply a name to scare English people away and no reflection on the landscape!

88 miles done today, bringing us to the grand total of 444 miles, and landing us in Lancaster. Actually very nice being back up north (although gutted to not be passing through Manc!)

Cycled through Wales yesterday. Hate to admit it, but some of the best scenery & weather we have had. Go figure! Thanks for all the donations and support!

Today, 74 miles later, I have learnt the hard way that what comes down must go up ... Up steep, long, relentless hills over and over. Although,I did hit a massive 46.4 on one slope.

Sitting on a train to Lands End. Tomorrows route is planned! Again, thanks to all for the support and donations!
I am raising money for a fantastic cause: Alzheimers Research.
This worthy charity, which boasts Sir Terry Pratchet as a patron, seeks to raise awareness of the disease, combat the stigma it attracts and conduct world class research to prevent, treat and eventually cure Alzheimers. Whether like me, Alzheimers has affected your family or friends, or whether you just wish to support a worthy and underfunded cause, please do click that donate tab.
And do visit their website for further information.
So what am I doing to earn your pounds? (Click read more!)
On the 20th of August a mate, Adam (he's on the left), and I will set out on a two week 'holiday'. Starting at Land's End, a picturesque village on the most southern tip of the UK, we then embark on a scenic tour up to one of Scotland’s treasures - it's most northern tip - John O'Groats. On this trip we shall see the undulating hills of Cornwall and Devon, traverse Somerset and the Peak District and see the stunning views across the Scottish Highlands. However, like golf to a walk, we shall ruin this charming holiday, by attempting to travel the 1000 miles between Land's End and John O'Groats, on a bicycle.
Over 12 days we shall need to average 80 miles and over 6 hours per day of continuous cycling, surely be made harder still by the joys of a British summer: blisteringly hot; or cold, wet and windy.
Once I have removed the bike saddle from what will surely become its new home, and have regained mobility, I will no doubt tell you all stories of my pain and suffering.
Thank you all for your support and of course, thank you for your kind donations.
