Nottingham ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have launched an urgent fundraising appeal for Switch Up to support vulnerable young people and families this autumn/winter. Please help.

Story

On the 24th of September 2023 I will be running the Robin Hood Nottingham Half Marathon with Liz, family and Oakfield team members to raise money for Switch Up. I have chosen to run for this charity because of the great work Baz and his amazing team do for young people in Nottingham. The charity stops offenders by engaging them in physical education to prevent them getting involved in gang culture. This ultimately leads to getting these individuals into the workplace. We at Oakfield support Switch Up by employing apprentices provided by the charity and also work them on other local initiatives.

If a guy of my age is prepared to put myself through this then please help me make it worthwhile. Any donation would be hugely appreciated and would mean the world to me and Switch Up.

Thank you, Mark Flint.
