We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

It is with sadness we announce that Paul Freshney passed away peacefully at his home in Brentwood, Essex, on 27 December 2020.

Paul was a keen supporter of the RNLI for all of his adult life. The charity undertakes important work, and he admired the lifeboat crews for the sacrifices they make to save lives out at sea.

Paul would not want for anyone to feel obliged to make a donation. But for those who want to, a contribution to the RNLI in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
