I am running the Great North Run for Alzheimer's Society. My Grandmother, Renee was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago now and as a result we have effectively been robbed of her warm, kind and talkative personality. This degenerative disease is cruel on both individuals and the family as you are powerless to help the sufferer. Please give generously to help research into treatments and hopefully a cure so that future generations will not have to endure this debilitating mental condition.
