Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in support of Meningitis UK.  The Lycra Lads of Liverpool Football Club, Mark, Mike and Steve, with the support of Barry the Bike Mechanic (on loan from Parker Cycles Burscough) will be cycling Coast to Coast leaving Whitehaven, following the Hadrians Wall route and ending at Sunderland FC.  Why? Read Abby Lema Dalton's words:

In memory of our precious little angel Eloise, taken from us so suddenly, so cruelly on 17 December 2009.

Eloise was our world. She was a true angel. Such a good girl, always smiling, such good fun and never a moments trouble. She touched so many people in the short time she was here and was loved so very very much.

Pneumococcal Septicaemia/Meningitis took our beautiful baby girl from us, she would have been 9 months old on Christmas Day.

What we witnessed this illness do to our innocent, gentle, pure little girl was truly heartbreaking.

It is a savage and devastating illness that has ended Eloise's life and shattered ours.

Anything, no matter how small, that we can now do to try and help stop this happening to another family is for Eloise, to honour her memory. It will be our daughters contribution to a very worthwhile fight.
