Screwfix-a-thon · 3 October 2021 ·
This year Screwfix has a fantastic opportunity to raise even
more money for The Screwfix Foundation, by joining the Virtual Virgin Money London Marathon, on Sunday 3rd October.
I’m very lucky (or mad!) to have one of the official places alongside 2 other Screwfix colleagues.
I’ll be running the full 26.2 miles at our inaugural Screwfix-a-thon based in Yeovil in Somerset.
But I don't want to do it on my own!!!!!!!
Firstly Screwfix colleagues will be joining in the fun as teams complete the distance between them – whether they run, walk a mile or 2. Colleagues across the UK will be joining in.
Secondly, the rest of the Screwfix board have agreed to join me and committed to completing two marathons between us, yes 2!!! (if you saw them you would realise this is a tough ask).
Any donations will be gratefully received and will support this amazing charity! We are aiming to raise £50k between all our teams.
If you’d like to get involved in the event, please drop us an email at commsandengagement@screwfix.com
The Screwfix Foundation is a registered charity set up in 2013. We have a clear purpose of raising funds to support projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for those in need throughout the UK. We work with both national and local charities, donating much needed funds to help all sorts of projects, from repairing buildings and improving facilities in deprived areas, to decorating the homes of people living with sickness and disabilities.
