Since 1966 Fulham Good Neighbours has supported older and disabled people in their homes and gardens, in the community and at their community centre, and now online. Fulham Good Neighbours support almost 500 older and disabled people a year, supported by over 100 local volunteers.

I started volunteering with FGN during covid lockdowns, and without FGN I am really not sure how some of the people that we helped would have coped during covid. The impact this small team has on the 500 elderly and disabled people that they every year support is massive. 

Not many things in life are guaranteed, one of those is that we are going to get old. And some of us are going to need help. Help that FGN volunteers provide with a smile, respect and with affection. 

This money is going to be used to revamp their web portal, and improve IT systems - this will directly improve communication with volunteers, and make it easier to track, analyse and monitor volunteer activities. The direct impact of this is more support with fewer resources and more efficient volunteer management.
