Story

I've set myself the challenge of running 12 half marathons
in 2016, one per month. Coming from a background of not really exercising a few years ago, this is proving to be a massive challenge for me.

I have already completed four half marathons so far, some just running the distance on my own and others actual running events. Having been inspired by seeing people running the London Marathon for this great charity I've decided to use my challenge to raise some valuable funds for charity along the way.

This will be half marathon number 5 but it will be particularly tricky as I've had a three week layoff for a pulled calf muscle. My fitness has fallen off and I'm desperate not to cause the injury to flare up again. Raising money for Papworth Trust is the perfect motivation to get back on it!

Papworth Trust support more than 20,000 people, their families and carers every year, and they work with disabled people to create a world where we can all be seen for what we can do.

They offer essential services to disabled and older people including care and support, leisure and learning activities, help with work and training and rehabilitation.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Every little helps, I would just be eternally grateful for any support you can provide for me on the day and for Papworth Trust and all of its future projects.
