Story
In September, I will be walking 100km along the Thames Path (as part of the Thames Path Challenge) from Putney Bridge to Henley-on-Thames all in the good name of Brain Tumour Research.
I will be starting at 9am on Saturday the 8th of September and will be walking through the night with the aim to finish 24hrs later on Sunday 9th September - anything but a walk in the park!
The stats on Brain Tumours are shocking;
- Its the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40
- Over 100,000 people are currently living with a brain tumour in the UK
- Just 19% of people diagnosed live for 5 years or longer
- Only 2% of cancer research funds are spent on brain tumours
So if you're able to donate even the smallest amount, it wil keep me focused and motivated as well as going towards a superb charity and help to hopefully eradicate the nasty 'c' word once and for all.
