On the 17th May 2025, I will be flying out to San Franciso, to complete the Alcatraz Swim, in order to raise money for Velindre Hospital.

It is the first ever overseas swim for Velindre. This swim is one of the most famous open water swims in the world and is an approximately a 2 mile swim from Alcatraz Island to the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco.

I will be part of a select team of 25 swimmers, led by Velindre Charity Ambassador Dave Tonge and Patron Shane Williams, raising vital funds for Velindre.

Velindre Hospital, is a specialist cancer hospital, that provides supportive care to both patients and families. Money raised by this event will help fund ground breaking research and clinical trials, cutting edge treatments, specialist nurses, support services, therapies, equipment and so much more which are above those provided by the NHS. Every donation made really does have a significant impact on both patients and their families.
