When Isabel became ill last year, she was helped by some wonderful people at the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at the Royal London Hospital. For five weeks the doctors and nurses tried everything they could to save her and as parents looking on we could not have wished for better people to care for our daughter.

We want to thank those wonderful people by raising some money, and hopefully in some small way, help any child or parents who are unfortunately in need of their help.

I am a long way off being ready to do this, and can't sleep for worry about how my backside will hold up to this challenge. A team of fine men will join me in attempting to get to Paris under our own steam. Please, please reward their efforts and those of the wonderful doctors and nurses who looked after Isabel, by donating whatever you can. All money goes directly to the Paediatric Critical Care Unit.
